This was only my second flight with the Mavic 4, and I found myself immediately thrown into an extreme challenge! strong Atlantic winds and the sudden appearance of a rare phenomenon: a roll cloud. Flying over the mystical hills of Sintra, near Cabo da Roca, where Europe’s westernmost cliffs plunge into the infinite Atlantic. I watched as this massive, tubular cloud began to unfurl like a giant wave in the sky, swallowing the rugged coastline beneath it. It’s not something you see every day.The air was electric. The wind roared, tugging at the drone as if testing its limits. Every movement required precision, every decision felt like threading a needle through chaos. The drone fought bravely, like a bird caught in a storm yet determined to stay aloft. And then it happened. The lighthouse appeared, standing defiantly against the incoming cloud, a solitary guardian at the edge of the world. As the roll cloud advanced, the scene turned surreal — a cinematic painting of nature’s raw power and fragile beauty colliding. It was intense. Unpredictable. Exhilarating. But capturing that moment, with the drone holding steady against all odds, felt like a reward worth every heartbeat.
