My name is Shane Traweek. I live in Northern California. I started flying FPV in 2014 and have been in love with it ever since. I have always enjoyed making art and I think flying is a form of art, so making FPV videos is a great outlet for me. I fly with just a few local pilots, but I make the long drive to Sacramento or the S.F. Bay Area to fly with 415FPV and the Baylands pilots like Ken Loo whenever they have a race. I was part of a team that was invited to Dubai in 2016 to race and I also competed in the freestyle event that was held there. I was lucky enough to win the Maker Faire 2016 drone race as well as first place at both the Aloha Cup and Drone World's Freestyle events held in Hawaii in 2016. In 2017 I was part of a two person team with fellow AirVuz pilot Colby Curtola in a Tiny Whoop micro drone race filmed on the set of Firefly. I am just enjoying the view on this FPV ride called life.
